Military families have been meeting at The Grapevine with representatives from the NH National Guard Family Program and the Vet Center to learn about resources available to soldiers and their families, and to promote bringing readjustment counseling, financial assistance and other services close to home. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from 6-8 pm. January meeting will be rescheduled as it falls on New Year's Day.
Peter Merritt of the Family Program describes it as a "comprehensive blend of quality of life programs in support of military families and service members." Programs offered are intended to provide support services, education, and information to assist the service members and their families in their local communities. Call Peter Merritt at 227-5175 for more information about the Family Program or the content of the July 10 meeting. Call The Grapevine at 588-2620 if you need onsite childcare for the meeting.
