Join us for
PARENTS OF SCHOOL-AGE KIDS
At The Grapevine
Join other parents of children ages 6 to 11 to talk about topics of interest
TUESDAYS 12:30 – 1:30
September 22—Bullying: For anyone who has been made fun of or has been isolated by the behavior of others, this can be a “hot” topic. We’ll explore setting aside our own emotions in order to help our children get the help they need… and discuss what they do need.
September 29—School: Children spend about 30 or more hours a week in school. For many, this is the first time their children have been with another adult in such a structured and demanding situation. Many challenges can come up along the way: transitions, friends, recess, bus transportation, and advocacy. We will discuss the questions that arise in the group.
October 6—Media Influence: The media and its impact on our world has changed so much since we were children and continues to make dramatic, significant and rapid changes. How can we support our children and create a foundation for what is really important in our families?
