Town of Antrim, NH - Antrim Fishing Derby and Bike Rodeo Tomorrow

After enjoying the May Day Breakfast at the Presbyterian Church (7-9:30 am), stroll over to the Mill Pond in Memorial Park for the Annual Youth Fishing Derby! This starts at 8am, and ends at 10 am. Prizes awarded in many categories. Then, for more walking and to support a great cause, visit the Grapevine for the Family Walk at 9:30. When that’s finished up., how about getting some lunch at home or at any of our great restaurants in town, and then head over to the Antrim Town Gym for the Annual Bike Safety Rodeo, starting at noon. Put together by the Rec Department, the Police Department and the Antrim-Bennington Lions Club, this is an event that celebrates safety, outdoor recreation and bicycling. At noon, kids can participate in a bicycle check up and tune up tips, rules of the road safety talk and an obstacle course. After finishing up with those events, kids can decorate their bike with materials provided, then join other bike enthusiasts for a bike parade on Jameson Ave at 1:30. Riders ages 10 and older may join Bruce and Tom for a bike ride at 2pm. (Multi Speed bikes, helmets and some experience required…) All kids who register for the bike rodeo get a FREE RAFFLE TICKET to WIN A BRAND NEW BIKE. The raffle is sponsored by the Lions Club.
