Sergeant Sean Cavanaugh has been employed with the Antrim Police Department since April 2007. Sergeant Cavanaugh is presently assigned as the Department's Use of Force Instructor, holding Instructor Certifications in Firearms (Tactical Pistol, Tactical Rifle and Shotgun), Taser, Advanced Baton, Defensive Tactics, Controlled Force (I and II) and OC. Sergeant Cavanaugh is also a certified Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Instructor, a certified Field Training Officer (FTO) and is SWAT 1 certified. When time permits Sergeant Cavanaugh serves as an Adjunct Instructor at New Hampshire Police Standards and Training where he assists with recruit training. Prior to working with the Antrim Police Department, Sergeant Cavanaugh was employed with the Fitzwilliam and Swanzey Police Departments. Sergeant Cavanaugh was certified as a
Part-Time Police Officer in November, 1993, and graduated the 117th Full-Time Academy in March, 1999. Prior to working as a Police Officer, Sergeant Cavanaugh worked for the Cheshire County Department of Corrections as a certified Corrections Officer. When not working Sergeant Cavanaugh enjoys spending time with his family and friends and playing softball and golf.
