Selectmen Meeting Minutes –12/20/04
Present: M. Genest-Chairman, M. Oldershaw, and B. Pratt
Also in attendance: W. Prokop, M. Pon, C. Lunetta, P.Lamb, S. Baselice, R. Haggett, K. Chisholm
The selectmen voted to accept the minutes of the 12/13/04 meeting.
The selectmen met with R. Haggett and K. Chisholm regarding the Library budget. After a review by the Trustees the Library felt that their budget request could be reduced in the wage area and in the automation area. This would reduce the budget request by $6-7,000. The selectmen were in agreement with the recommendation.
The selectmen then met with the Park and Recreation Commission for another review of their budget request. The commission met and has made adjustments to the wage area and in a few of the expense areas. C. Lunetta will review the numbers with P. Lamb and will give the final number to the Town Administrator by 12/23/04. Regarding the warrant article request, it was agreed that the $17,000 irrigation and the $5,000 field maintenance will be combined into one article and it will state less any contribution from the Conval School District.
The selectmen reviewed various correspondence and signed the payroll and accounts payable for the week.
The budget hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 19th at 7:00 P.M.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
