TIF DISTRICT ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES – 9/8/05
Members present: D. Essex, R. Edwards, J. White, M. Steele, R. Edmunds, W. Prokop.
In addition P. Pitsas from Underwood Engineers Inc.
The board reviewed and accepted the minutes of the meeting of 6/27/05.
The board then reviewed a list of project problems and project pluses. The board then walked the Main Street section from West Street to Prospect Street. The purpose was to review the work done and to obtain a clear understanding why certain things were done for drainage, curb cuts, etc. P. Pitsas explained the work that was done and what was left to be done.
The board was disappointed that Lyman Contractors had not finished the remaining work as was scheduled. P. Pitsas felt the same way and has been trying to get in touch with Lyman to find out the status and finalize a detailed “punch list”.
Several members had to leave the meeting early to attend other meetings. The remaining members discussed some future projects and the status of the Phase II TE application grant request. The general consensus was that TIF should consider funding a maintenance person at least part-time to maintain the entire downtown on a year round basis. This would include Main Street, Memorial Park, the Library, Goodell Park, and West Street. This will be further discussed with the entire committee and will become part of the 2006 planned budget expenses.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
