CEMETERY TRUSTEES MINUTES
On Tuesday, May 3, 2005, Trustees Anne Chisholm-Enman, Doris Platt and Kathryn Chisholm met with Selectman and former Cemetery Trustee Ben Pratt for a tour of two of Antrim’s cemeteries which are the responsibility of the Trustees.
1. Meeting House Hill Cemetery
2. Center Cemetery
3.” Over East” Cemetery
Bushes and brush needs to be trimmed at Over East.
Need new steps at Center Cemetery.
The stone wall needs to be repaired in 2 places at Meeting House Hill, and Center Cemetery.
I checked with Bill Prokop, and Rick Seavey will be cutting the grass at the 3 cemeteries. The town is looking into buying a larger piece of equipment for this.
The town has contracted with Robblee Tree Service to clean up brush and trim trees in the fall at Over East.
I’m meeting Mr. Kaufhold at Meeting House Hill Cemetery on Sat., July 23 at 8:00 a.m., and then we’ll go to the Center Cemetery - for an estimate. He will also let us know what’s left to be done at Over East.
I’m still trying to track down a stone wall repairperson*** and trying to contact David Laughlin for an estimate on the plot plans for Center and Meeting House Hill Cemeteries.
***Andre Lazar will check on work needed on stone walls and will give us an estimate.
Joyce Davison spoke to me, unofficially, about the possibility of the cemetery on Cemetery Road being taken over by the town. We need to look into the legalities and logistics of it, and meet with their Cemetery Trustees.
