The ice rink at Shea Field is now OPEN! The ice is solid-- though you can tell that we do not have a Zamboni, it's really not too bad! That said, please do not expect a totally smooth surface...
To access the rink, we recommend parking on School street near the Lamb Field House on Shea Field, and please use the prepared path out to the rink.
The rink is open during daylight hours. There are no bathrooms available at the field at this time, so please plan accordingly for that.
Skating at our rink is at your own risk. We have prepared an out door rink and acts of nature impact the surface, so please manage the risk appropriately!
Also, as with all of our town parks, use of any tobacco products or any alcohol products is prohibited.
The rink will be closed if conditions deteriorate-- and we will indicate closure of the rink with red signage, and red tape across the entrances, Please do not go on the ice if it is closed.
We will have skating under the lights in the end of January, beginning of February. Watch for news about that.
We hope you enjoy! Any questions, please call us at Antrim Recreation at 588-3121
