“Summering in Antrim – An Hour With Dick Winslow
For more than one hundred years the Winslow family has contributed to the rich cultural life of the Antrim community.
In April, 1913 Ralph G. Winslow, Dick Winslow’s father and fellow composer, conducted the eighty-voice Antrim Choral Society in a performance of the cantata, Joan of Arc. Some four hundred devotees attended
In September, 1939 Dick Winslow, (or more formally, Professor Emeritus Richard Winslow of the Department of Music, Wesleyan University), then a Wesleyan senior, led a cast and crew of more than fifty in an Antrim Town Hall production of the Pirates of Penzance.
Please join Dick Winslow and the Antrim Historical Society on Sunday, June 22nd, as he reminisces about the first two-thirds of his Antrim experience, the summering years.
