On Thursday, June 13th~at 11 a.m. at the Antrim Presbyterian Church, Antrim readers will discuss “The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton, the first woman ever to receive the Pulitzer Prize. Ms. Wharton sketches the rise and fall of a strikingly beautiful but indigent woman within New York City’s Gilded Age elite. The author’s critique was particularly pointed since Ms. Wharton herself was a member of the Gotham aristocracy.
