Library Board of Trustees

Election of Officers:
Steve Ullman and Margie Warner as co-chairs, Nancy Blair as secretary and Shelly Connolly was re-elected treasurer.
Treasurer’s Report:
Shelly proposed a new format. She will send the last 4 pages of the report electronically and bring summary pages; hard copy to the trustee’s meeting.
Directors Report:
The library will be very busy coming up. Ann has given her resignation she will be going to MacDowell. This is a great opportunity for her. Someone has already been found to take her place.
Discussion of metal shelving in the basement: Surplus from when the addition was done. Colleen Giffin is interested in the shelving and screen doors. This will be looked into and discussed further.
Librarians are busily involved in professional development. This is continuous for them.
Work on collection continues: subjectless titles are being corrected, deleting “marked lost” in Follett, updating series, updating patron records, inventory, and organizing the genealogy section.
Antrim Historical Society:
Rick gave a report on the Antrim Historical Society. One very exciting project is signage for the two historical sites!
New Business:
NHLTA Orientation is being held on April 12th
A small committee will work on reviewing library policies.
Trustees and staff retreat will be held; Steve offered to host.
10 minutes for public comment was suggested to be built into the beginning of the trustees meeting.
Library archives should be updated.
Town audit will take place in the first week of April. Shelly will provide all the needed information to the Town Hall.
Strategic planning needs to be initiated.
A disaster plan should be put in place.
