SAIL Stay Active for Independent Living Ages 65+ Exercise, free at Antrim Town Hall

Stay Active for Independent Living!
Event Date:
Friday, May 12, 2023 - 1:30pm

The Grapevine Community Center and Antrim Recreation Department are collaborating to bring a free exercise program geared to adults 65 and older,

though anyone who thinks they could benefit from a program focusing on balance, conditioning and strength is welcome to attend.

Registration is through The Grapevine, you can call at 603-588-2620, or email admin@grapevinenh.org

The class is free. Participants need properly fitting sneakers, a water bottle, and if you have your own ankle/wrist weights in 2-4 (max 5) pounds, bring those as well!

This will be an ongoing program. The class, for now, is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30. We are inquiring to see how people would like a Monday, Wednesday and Friday class, 10:30-11:30 am.

What to Expect in a SAIL Class

Exercises are adapted for all levels of physical ability. • Exercises are specifically designed to help maintain and improve your balance. • All participants receive a copy of Stay Active and Independent for Life: An Information Guide for Adults 65+.

How Can I Get the Most from This Class?

That way you are not out of breath before the class starts. • Wear flexible, supportive rubber-soled shoes and loose fitting clothing. • Refrain from wearing perfume, aftershave or scented personal care products. • Make an effort to attend as many classes as possible.

The best way to benefit from exercise is to exercise regularly!
