Book Club reviews: The Invisible Thread

On Thursday November 16, 2023, between 2:15 and 3:15 p.m., at the James A. Tuttle Library, Book Club members will be discussing Laura Schroff’s An Invisible Thread. This book is “The true story of an 11-yearold panhandler, a busy sales executive, and an unlikely meeting with destiny.”
Among the questions Club members will probe on the 18th are:
- Why should the eleven-year-old Maurice trust Laura? Isn’t her interest in him creepy?
- How does Laura’s personal history shape her behavior?
- How does Maurice’s family life shape his behavior?
- What messages does this narrative convey
The Antrim Eclectic Book Club meets every third Thursday each month between 2:15 PM and 3:15 PM at the James A Tuttle library.
