Dog Licenses
Owners of dogs four months and older are required to license their dog by April 30th of each year (RSA 466:1). Owners must present a valid rabies certificate and, if applicable, a neutering/spaying certificate. A late fee of $1 per month will be charged beginning June 1st for any unlicensed dog. Any dog still unlicensed after June 20th will be subject to a $25 civil forfeiture fine in accordance with RSA 466:13.
Dog licenses may be obtained in person at the Town Clerk’s office or by mail.
Any person who keeps 5 or more dogs may apply for a group license. Verification must be furnished that each dog has been vaccinated against rabies.
When registering and applying for a license for a dog that is a service animal, the following is required:
The owner or trainer shall present an identification card issued by a recognized dog training agency. If a dog has been trained by its owner and does not have an identification card issued by a recognized dog training agency or school, in order to register and license a dog that is a service animal, the dog shall meet the minimum training standards for public access as set by the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners as determined by a service animal trainer, as defined in RSA 167-D:1, V
- The owner shall present a letter from a health care professional stating that the individual requires the use of a service animal to perform tasks directly related to his or her disability.

Please notify the Town Clerk’s office if you no longer own the dog.
