DRAFT Antrim Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting
December 8, 2022
Meeting called to order at 7:08 pm
In attendance:
Joan Gorga, Isaac Lombard, Jonas Taub, Celeste Lunetta
Minutes of previous meeting were reviewed and accepted as adjusted.
Old Business:
Gregg Lake Beach:
RFPs for Phase One of the Gregg Lake Beach Park project were evaluated. A recommendation to the BOS for the award of the project was approved with all in agreement. Celeste will pass the recommendation to the BOS.
Discussion of the Cyanobacteria blooms at the lake. Determined that removing the warnings from the website was appropriate.
Discussion about selling a parking pass nonresident for Gregg Lake 2023. Determined to sell pass at current price, since a rise in price is unknown at this time.
Memorial Park:
Discussion about condition of Tennis Courts and future plans for park rehabilitation and repair. Celeste has a query into Vt Tennis courts about the crack repair and resurfacing
Town Gym:
No new business at this time. The coating of the floor was completed. The doors are still in need of new sweeps and repair to the rust on the frame. Temperatures been inconsistent on weekends. Celeste will confirm schedule with the SAU for utilities.
Rec Director Position Description:
The position description for the Recreation Director has been reviewed by one member with some suggestions for improvement.
