Gregg Lake Beach Park

Gregg Lake Beach staff will be on duty beginning Sunday, May 29, 2022.  Staff will be on duty weather permitting, on holidays and weekends through June 16. Starting June 17, weather permitting, staff will be on duty 9 am-5 pm Sundays-Wednesdays Staff will be on duty 9 am -7pm on Holidays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  There will be some variability in staff hours, based on weather and program demands. Lifeguards are on duty at the swimming beach , weather permitting, daily between 10 am and 5 pm, June 17 through August 21, 2022. 

Gregg Lake Beach is a carry in/ carry out facility, you must remove all of your trash. Portable toilets are available, and are located by the guard house. Use of smoking products is restricted to an indicated area, please ask the staff or look for the signs. 
All visitors are greeted at the entrance by our friendly staff, and provided customer service to explain the park guidelines. 

There is a parking fee for the main beach lot, which is the first lot you come to along Gregg lake Road,  for any visitor who is not currently an Antrim resident or tax payer. There is no parking fee for Antrim residents or tax paying property owners. 

For non Antrim residents/non Antrim property owners, the daily parking fee is $10 or $100 for a season pass. A season pass does not guarantee you a parking spot every time you visit, the parking lot occasionally fills to capacity. 
 Visitor and resident Passes can be obtained at the beach, or at Antrim Town Hall. Cash or check is acceptable form of payment at this time. if you are paying with cash, exact currency is great,y appreciated, you will be provided a cash receipt, which coif you are purchasing day parking, you can use towards the future purchase of a season pass. 
 
Visitors who wish to use the facility without paying the parking fee may be able to find off road parking along Craig road, but there is absolutely no street parking along Gregg Lake Road. We remind you that it is illegal to park your car in the roadway, where it may obstruct the passage of emergency or other vehicles. 

The Gregg Lake Beach facility has several areas for visitors. All use of all of these areas is at your own risk. Our staff clean and disinfect on a regular schedule, but we will not be disinfecting or cleaning any areas after every user, so visitors are required to take responsibility for their own sanitation and hygeine. Smoking, tobacco or other product use, use of any vaping or inhaling product delivery device, is strictly restricted to an area indicated for smoking. Please refrain from using these products while at the facility, or go to the designated area. 
It is the responsibility of park users to comply with appropriate physical distancing, and we ask all to be mindful of others. Staff will, as available, serve as physical distancing ambassadors, but it is the responsibility of park visitors to comply with these public health guidelines, especially in the water. We advise all visitors to bring hand sanitizer wipes if necessary, and to have cloth face covers in case you need help or assistance from our staff, and physical distancing is not possible.


There is a paddle craft ( SUP, canoe/kayak) launch area, which is also an area where dogs are permitted to come swim. This is not an area designed or intended for human bathing or swimming. The water in the dog and paddlecraft launching area is not tested and there is never a lifeguard on duty in this area. Dog companions are required to clean up any bio waste produced by the dog. 

There is a peninsula with a sand volleyball area, two pavilions and some picnic tables. 

We have  a long sandy and shallow water swimming beach. There is a lap lane for swimmers to use, that is indicated by the blue buoys on the right, red buoys on the left, we ask that only one swimmer at a time use this lane.

The water at our beach is tested monthly between June and August for ecoli contamination.

Before June 17, 2022 there is no on duty life guarding at Gregg Lake Beach, and swimming is at your own risk.  Once lifeguards are on duty, no flotation devices are permitted in the guarded area, except for US Coast Guard type 2 personal flotation devices. 

American Red Cross Learn to Swim lessons will be held on Mondays-Thurdays, July 11- August 12.  Levels Learn To Swin 1-3 and PreK Learn to swim 1-2 will be offered. A stroke improvement coaching program, capturig many elements of the Level 4 Swim program, will also be offered. A link for swimming lesson registrastions is available after June 3, and swim lesson registrations are due before Wednesday July 6.

The parking area at the boat launch,which is for trailer parking only, has 6 spots, and does not have a parking fee at this time. This area is for vehicles hauling boat trailers only. 

A kayak and canoe storage rack has spots availbale for weekly or seasonal rentals. The seasonal rental is $150 and boats can be kept on the rack from May-October.See attendant on duty or contact Antrim Recreation at antrimrecdir@tds.net
