Agenda Items:

I.  Approval of Minutes

Mr. Edwards moved to approve the minutes of August 28, 2020. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed as amended 3/0

II.  Antrim Community Board

  • Gordon Allen gave an overview of the Community Board. The Select Board asked questions about liability and how volunteers are vetted since this will be an official Town Board if passed at Town Meeting. There was also a question on funds that may be needed. Ms. Kendall said, not at this time, but there could be needs in the future. The Select Board will gather more questions and discuss this further at a future meeting.

III.  Town Owned Property

  • Town Owned Properties were reviewed and 13 properties will go to the Planning Board and Conservation Commission for review before putting the properties up for bid.

IV.  Bennington Ambulance Fee

Chief Marshall said that 35% of ambulance calls are for Bennington. Even if there were no calls to Bennington there is still a cost to us to maintain the equipment, building and vehicles. Mr. Genest moved to increase the Ambulance rate from $20,000 to $25,000 for 2021. He felt this was a fair price for the service that Antrim provides Bennington. At $25,000.00 we are well below what other towns pay for their ambulance service and we shall review the ambulance arrangement with Bennington annually. Mr. Robertson seconded. Passed 3/0

V.  Town Administrator Update

  • Ms. Hanson said she would send the agreement between the Town of Antrim and TDS to maintain the TDS back lawn for the Select Board to review. They have asked us to maintain the front lawn as well. The Town uses the backyard for Home and Harvest in exchange for the lawn maintenance.

VI.  Closing

  • Mr. Robertson moved to adjourn at 9:05 pm. Mr. Genest seconded. Passed 3/0

Respectfully submitted,
Donna Hanson, Town Administrator
