Select Board Meeting Minutes
Monday, April 26, 2021
6:00 PM Town Hall (face mask required) & Zoom

Board Members Present: John Robertson, Chairman; Tom Davis, Selectman; Robert L Edwards, Selectman

Staff Present: Donna Hanson, Town Administrator; Scott Lester, Police Chief; Brian Lord, Lieutenant; Mike Connolly, Trustee of Trust Funds

Agenda Items:

     I.  Badge Pinning Ceremony

• Police Chief Lester said a few words congratulating Lieutenant Lord on his promotion to Police Chief. Brian Lord’s mother pinned his badge on him.
• Mr. Robertson thanked Chief Lester for his many years of service to the Town of Antrim.

     II.  Approval of Minutes

• Mr. Edwards moved to approve the April 19, 2021 minutes. Mr. Davis seconded. Passed 3/0

     III.  Historical Society Funds

• There was more discussion on whether there should be a public hearing to accept the funds from the Historical Society. It was decided to have a public hearing and get clarification from town counsel if future public hearings are needed.

     IV.  ZBA Candidates

• Mr. David Clater attended the meeting and spoke briefly about his background. He said he was fine with being a full time or an alternate member.
• Mr. Davis moved to appoint Mr. Michael Ott as a full-time member of the ZBA and to appoint Mr. David Clater as an alternate. Mr. Edwards seconded. Passed 3/0

     V.  Veteran & Solar Exemption Application

• Mr. Edwards moved to approve the Veteran credit and solar exemption contingent on a completed PA-33 and a copy of the trust as long as it satisfies the requirement of property ownership.

     VI.  Meetings Attended

• Mr. Robertson attended the Selectmen’s Advisory Committee meeting. Minutes can be found here.
• Mr. Davis attended the Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting. Minutes can be found here.

Other Business

• Mr. Robertson explained that there is $8,000 of scholarship money available for anyone wanted to further their education in a trade. The money is available through the New Hampshire Charitable Trust.
• Mr. Robertson will write the Limrik article that is due May 10^th.
• Ms. Hanson will schedule a planning session when she returns from vacation.

• Mr. Edwards moved to go into non-public session. Mr. Davis seconded. Passed 3/0

Closing

• Mr. Robertson moved to adjourn at 9:10 pm. Mr. Edwards seconded. Passed 3/0
