August Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting

Review minutes from July Meeting: 

In attendance: Isaac, Celeste, Joan and Tim

Minutes from the last meeting were accepted

Gregg Lake:  There was an algae bloom in June.  More testing is taking place. There was a milfoil at the lake.  Pictures and samples were sent to DES.  No bids have come in for the first round of improvements at the lake. Security cameras picked up truents on July 4th.  A request for guest passes to be available to town residents was discussed.  Talk is continuing on the boat launch grant.

Sheafield:  Adult softball starts on July 13th.  Celeste is waiting for better weather to fertilize the field.  Tim has approached the town administrator again to be added to the agenda.  Still no answer.  Celeste still needs help assembling the new shed.  The annual agreement with Con-Val is due to be signed.

Town Gym:  The exterior doors still need repair.  THe gym floor has been refinished.  The board repair will happen soon.    

Memorial Park/Goodell Park:  Skate park will need repair.  A broken fence post needs repair.  A new tennis court net is coming.  Celeste contacted the scouts about repair of the gaga pit door.  They will repair it.  The dredging company has not returned our calls yet.
