Draft Minutes Antrim PARac May 6 2021
Attendees Isaac Lombard, Celeste Lunetta, Joan Gorga, Jonas Taub, Lisa Hennessy, Tim Morehouse
1. Police Dept. Collaboration
Officer Ethan Christianson joined the meeting to discuss ongoing problems at Memorial Park. Celeste explained past damage. Restorative justice was suggested but Ethan explained that we could not do this without court approval. He also mentioned that someone could be banned. He also gave other ideas around minimizing damage. Joan suggested that we install cameras. The question was brought forward would a pump track draw more problems.
2. Farmers Market
Aimee Mullahy reported that 30+ individuals had expressed interest in the market. Also many others said that they would definitely be there as shoppers. Aimee had recruited 2 people who have experience in this process to assist her. SNAP program is also a possibility. Sites and day of operation will be discussed in the next meeting along with insurance liabilities. It was suggested that we tailor our market after Keene which is established and successful.
3. Antrim in the Evening
Celeste and Jonas have set up a venue including local talent. Dates 6-7 through 8-25. Funding is a concern. Ideas for revenue were discussed including advertising.
4. Memorial Park
Boy Scouts would like a Eagle court of honor for Mike Redmond on Aug. 7th
5. Pump Track
Lisa presented an overview for discussion. Different sites were suggested. Work on survey questions for next month
6. Shea Field
Requests for June 11th have been given to Celeste verbally. Nothing new for bottle filling station
7. Town Gym
No update on doors. Talks about increases are ongoing
8. Gregg Lake
The preliminary grant proposal has been completed. Daily parking fees will remain at $10 for nonresidents but seasonal fee will increase to $75. The kayak rack sign has been approved and Tim will locate a sign maker. Joan showed the group the newboaters signs. Celeste will instruct JIm Clark to see Tim about a memorial bench.
9. Lisa Hennessy
Lisa was formally approved for recommendation to PARC.
