Antrim Parks and Recreation Commission February 11th 2021 Meeting Minutes
Zoom virtual meeting. Joan Gorga, Celeste Lunetta, Tim Moorehouse, Bob Edwards and Isaac Lombard Present.
Town Gym: The new rules for the gym have been posted. Cracks have been appearing in the floor due to drier air. The School St. Entrance doors are still in progress to being fixed. Tim M. has installed one of the mailboxes outside the doors. He will attach the second one shortly.
Shea Field: Agreement with ConVal is still awaiting feedback from CV. There is a meeting on the 17th. A path around the field has been tramped for people to use.
Gregg Lake: A skating rink was cleared and programs are planned for its use. Kayak rack rules are still being devised and will be in place before the ice is gone. More boulders are needed for the rack and boat launch area. A winterized portable toilet has been suggested and approved for the beach area.
Walking Trail: Weather(cold) and snowfall precluded progress on the trail. Isaac will walk properties with Peter B.
Library Coop: Tim M. will connect with head librarian Cindy Jewett about collaboration. Snow sculpture contest, story walk and geo cache with the history of Antim were ideas discussed.
Rec Department Update: March camp planned. NHDI has been in touch and we are looking for a sponsor. Baseball camp and softball clinics planned. Yoga is going well.
Other business: There is a NH Rec Trails Program and LWCF grant info presentation on Feb 23 from 5-7pm via Zoom.
