Treasurer Report: Treasurer Absent                                                                              
Rick explained the invoice for recent work, which will go to the town to be paid from warrant article expenses, rather than library expenses.

Director’s Report:

  • Rick will investigate issues surrounding the possibility of allowing a 12-hour fundraising teen game night at the library. Trustees may need to have a special meeting in order to vote to allow this special use.
  • Motion: Steve moved that the library director be authorized to spend up to 200.00 per year for scheduling software from library software, hardware/media budget line.

  • Motion: Steve moved that the library director be authorized to hire a library substitute staff member at an anticipated cost of 4600.00/year. Out of general salaries fund.

  • National Library of Medicine grant fully approved.
  • Motion: Steve moved that the security camera policy presented in April be approved as written

  • Teen feedback on Merrifield Room: Discussion. Susan has volunteered to lead the design initiative for the Merrifield Room

Old Business:

  • Summer Retreat Steve Ullman has offered his house on Greg Lake for a meeting in July. Date to be determined.
  • Gazebo Update: ETA May 11. Assembly date to be determined.
  • 2022 Building Improvement Project: Time Morehouse will take care of pest control, insulation and two metal roofs. Is also looking at the Merrifield Room and the ceiling in the Historical Society room.
  • Other reports on Building – the old entrance has been renovated by Tim Morehouse & Co., and there is now a baby changing station in the upstairs bathroom.

  • Outdoor spaces at library – Lori is investigating options for outdoor furniture.
