Meeting Minutes

September 12, 2023

Present:  Trustees: Jennifer Adams (via Zoom), NancyBlair,  Steve Ullman, Rick Wood; Cynthia Jewett, Library Director

Call to order 6:37 p.m.

Public comment: none

Nancy moved and Steve seconded to adopt the agenda. Adopted unanimously

The Minutes for the July meeting were amended to include the Young Adult room and Merrifield room light expenditures of $840 and $1290 for a total of $2,030.  Adopted unanimously.  The amended Minutes for the July meeting were then adopted unanimously.  

No correspondence needed to be reviewed. 

Treasurer’s Reports were received.  The Library is in a sound fiscal position.

​The New Hampshire State Library Director of the Year for 2021 presented the Director’s Report.

Steve moved and Nancy seconded a motion to adopt the credit card proposal presented by the Director.  Adopted unanimously

Steve moved and Nancy seconded a motion to provide the staff a Thanksgiving weekend off – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Adopted unanimously.

Steve moved and Nancy seconded a motion to hire Y+Y Cleaning Services for the fee of $210 weekly.  The motion also moved to discharge the McGurty company.  Adopted unanimously.  Susan will draft an official letter giving McGurty the mandatory one-month notice.

Steve moved and Nancy seconded a motion to appropriate a maximum of $2,000 for labor involved in installing interior and exterior lights.  Adopted unanimously.  

Steve moved and Jennifer seconded a motion to adjourn.  Adopted unanimously.
