Meeting Minutes
October 10, 2023
Present: Trustees: Susan Bartlett, Nancy Blair, Steve Ullman, Rick Wood; Cynthia Jewett, Library Director

Nancy moved and Steve seconded to a motion to adopt the agenda. Adopted unanimously
The Minutes for September meeting. Adopted unanimously.
No correspondence needed to be reviewed.
Treasurer’s Reports were received. The Library is in sound fiscal condition. The Trustees reflected on next year’s Town budget request. Nancy moved and Steve seconded a motion to accept a budget as presented with minor adjustment totaling no more than 5 percent year over year.
The New Hampshire State Library Director of the Year for 2021 presented the Director’s Report. Cindy picked up excellent programmatic ideas at the Kansas rural library conference. Physical improvements have been made to the facility. Cindy and Christopher are writing a grant for enhancing the Young Adult room.
Old Business
Nancy reported on the Friends of the Library. The Friends had a table at Home and Harvest. They brought in $195 to be used for museum and park passes. The Friends will order new Fiends of the Library bags. Welcome Santa has been tentatively scheduled. The Friends of the Library are managing the finances of the Festival of Trees committee. James Panico is heading up the Festival of Trees group.
Exterior lights have been installed. They are aesthetically pleasing and a great safety addition.
Moka Pot has agreed to host a Library Retreat November 3rdstarting at Noon. Susan in brainstorming about possible formats.
Steve moved and Rick seconded a motion to adjourn. Adopted unanimously.
