Public comment: James Panico, representing the Festival of Trees Committee, stated that this year’s FOT will be more modest than the last time it occurred in 2019.  Some displays have already been installed.  Other displays will be going up soon. James expects a total of ten to twenty trees.  A large FOT banner will be displayed outside the Library.  Wreathes will be added this coming Thursday.  Thus far, no funds from previous FOT’s have been tapped. James is planning to tear down the displays by January 15th.

Nancy moved, and Steve seconded a motion to adopt the October 2023 Trustees Minutes as submitted. Adopted unanimously.
Nancy moved and Steve seconded a motion to adopt the agenda proposed by the Chair.    Adopted unanimously.

Rick presented the updated 2024 budget proposal which only increases Library spending by 2.26%.  Yvette Brinkley has started her cleaning regimen.

Rick reported that the Antrim Historical Society has been offered the former Church of Christ building.  The AHS is still in its preliminary stages of considering the acquisition.

Director’s Report:  Cyndi will submit “Patron Behavior” and other policies for Trustee review.  Several teens have exhibited unruly conduct.  Cyndi and staff have been looking at ways to redirect them.

Cyndi asked Susan to write a letter in support of the grant application which she and Christopher are preparing.
Outdoor projects have been successfully completed.  We still await installation of the bike lighting in the Young Adults room.

Steve reported on community developments.
Staff have requested additional personnel, a matter to be considered at future meetings.

Susan reviewed the New Hampshire Library Trustees Association “volunteer” policies.  We need to carefully adhere to state and federal requirements insofar as the utilization of library volunteers.  Currently Tuttle utilizes only a few.

Nancy will call Scott Lester about criminal background checks for Library volunteers.
Cyndi will be ordering a red library cart.
Steve moved and Nancy seconded a motion to adjourn.  Adopted unanimously.
