Trustees Meeting March 12, 2024Attendance: Jennifer Adams, Susan Bartlett, Nancy Barnes, Jenine Rubin, Stephen Ullman, Rick Wood; Library Director, Cyndi Jewett
Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m.
The Trustees held a public comment session.
Nancy moved and Rick seconded adoption of the agenda. Voted unanimously.
Rick moved and Jennifer seconded a motion to adopt the Minutes from the February meeting. Adopted unanimously.
Rick presented the Treasurer’s Report. The adjusted balance increased somewhat from 1/31/24. Rick then presented the Town portion of the budget. Then he examined the Trustees’ portion of the budget.
Director’s Report: Cyndi reported that everything is going great. The Library received a $1,000 grant.
Cyndi will be drafting a policy on access to the Library for patrons under eighteen.
Jennifer moved and Nancy seconded a motion requesting Rick to explore the purchase of ring cameras. Voted unanimously.
Supervised visitation – Steve moved and Rick seconded a motion to terminate court-supervised visitations within the Library. The James A. Tuttle Library does not meet the newly imposed state safety requirements for such visitations. The Trustees have asked the Library Director to contact relevant agencies. Voted unanimously.
Jennifer moved and Rick seconded a motion that the Trustees move into non-public session under the provisions of RSA 91-A: 3.
Jennifer moved and Rick seconded a motion to leave non-public session. The Trustees voted to seal any Minutes from the non-public session for ten years. Adopted unanimously.
Friends report – Nancy reported on “stuffy overnight at the Library.”
Buildings and grounds – a wind blast knocked over the flagpole. Rick Wood and Tim Morehouse are cooperating on repairing the flagpole.
Jennifer reported on art display systems.
Rick moved and Jennifer seconded a motion to adjourn. Adopted unanimously.
