- Treasurer’s Report – Rick: He distributed and reviewed the balances as of the last day of February. TTown approved more money than we requested, so the Library can go ahead and hire additional staff or increase the hours of current employees. By the end of February, we have spent 13% of the budget, with 10 months left to go. Jenine asked to see the Hoopla donation total every month. We are still waiting on the Dunlap Trust. Tamasine moved to accept the report. Jennifer seconded. All approved.
- Director’s Report – Cindy: Guyer looked at the roof, and found a crack that they will be fixing. Rick is still waiting on an estimate from them for the whole roof. § Tim and Rick discussed the ice dam where the two buildings meet. Chief Gale sprayed it with warm water and that helped. But it comes and goes. There was some leakage inside. § The library is kicking around ideas for the 250th and will have firm ideas within a month. Tim will send some ideas. Rick found someone who can do drone footage for documenting the 250th, and he’ll send the info to Cindy. § The Library can get a Google account for $800. Cindy will send the info to Rick. § And good news is that people will be able to keep their current library card number on the new cards, unless they want to change it. § The Ring cameras are working again after being offline. § Room access guidelines still need to be clarified. § People love the winter hours. - •Building and grounds updates --Rick: The wooden guardrail in front of the ADA parking spot needs repair, and Tyler is on it. § The Guyer roof inspection was good news. § There is no update on the AC updates from Pinney Plumbing. § Tim will push the snow in the parking lot up and over. § We need to coordinate a specific trash schedule with Tyler.
- Memorandum of Understanding Revisions – Tim: The Memorandum lays out what the town is responsible for vs. what the Library is responsible for, and who pays for what. It needs to be updated since the current one is five years old. Tim suggests a building inspection should be conducted by the Town Building Inspector and a designated trustee twice a year; one just prior to the CIP, and the second at the end of fiscal year. § A roof rake should be used whenever the snow accumulates more than 6” on the roof. Tyler said the Town would pay for half, and they will also pay for half if we install an ice dam tape.
