Vacant Property Check

The Antrim Police Department Offers a free Vacant Property Check program to all Antrim residents. If you are leaving town for a weekend or extended period of time, the Vacant Property Check program is one crime prevention tool that may be very useful in protecting your home. These checks are performed randomly as time permits and as a courtesy to Antrim residents. 

To request a Vacant Property Check please complete the form located at the bottom of this page and bring it to the Antrim Police Department. 

Helpful Checklist:

• Make your home look as lived-in as possible while you're away.
• Arrange to have your mail either stopped or picked up daily.
• Be sure to not announce your absence on your answering machine or on Social Media.
• Ensure all your windows and doors have secure locks and make sure all are locked prior to leaving town. 
• Be sure to close and lock garages, sheds, gates, etc.
